After a brief battle with cancer, Shirley Jean Yeager, of South Lincoln Avenue in Lisbon, passed away at 10:35 Thursday evening, February 16, 2012 at East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 62.
She was born in Racine, Ohio on December 27, 1949, a daughter of the late Kenneth LeRoy Boyd and Thelma Jean Weddle Boyd.
Shirley received her associates degree in Accounting, and had been a press operator with Blackhawk Automotive in Salem from 1995 until 2010.
In her spare time, she loved to read and fish – and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, William Howell.
Her husband, William H. Thornhill, Jr., survives her at home.
Shirley also leaves behind a daughter, Roxann Yeager of Lisbon, and two sons, William Carnegie and his wife, Billie Jo, of East Liverpool, and Steven Carnegie and his wife, Heather, also of East Liverpool.
Also surviving are five granddaughters, as well as three sisters and two brothers.
Private family services were held at the Dawson Funeral Home.
