Rickey K. Ice, 62, of East Liverpool, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011at 9:25 p.m. at Heritage Valley Beaver following a long illness.

Born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, November 5, 1948, he was a son of the late Leslie and Kathleen “Katie” Ice. A resident of this area most of his life, he worked at the Wheeling-Pitt Steel Company’s Follansbee Coke Plant until retiring in 2004 after 38 years of service.

He was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1967, he was also a member of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Everson Ice, at home. The couple married December 5, 1975.

There are three daughters, Brenda Camp, and her husband Oscar, of Athens, Tennessee, Susan Creer, and her husband Brian, of Palmer, Alaska, and Tanya Ice at home; along with one son, William Plumm, and his wife Melissa, of East Liverpool.

He loved and cherished his six grandchildren, Miranda and Marcus Plumm, Kristopher and Zeth Merritt, and Garrett and Jacob Creer, as well as two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Colin Plumm.

In addition, a sister survives, Mary E. Ice of East Liverpool, and three brothers, Jerry L. Ice, and his wife Deborah, Stanley E. Ice, and his wife Becky, and Robert E. Ice, all of East Liverpool.

He will also be sadly missed by his dog and his best friend, Bubba.

Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit 3 hours prior to the service.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.

Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
