Dennis L. O’Rourke, 51, formerly of East Liverpool, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Damascus, Ohio.

Born in East Liverpool, February 24, 1961, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Demple L. and Lois Wolf Smith of East Liverpool.

A lifelong area resident, he worked at the former Smith Logging Co., Advo Paper and the Smith Personal Care Home. An avid football fan, his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by five sisters, Susan Huff, Patricia McCutcheon, Laura Marino, Amy Smith Cameron, all of East Liverpool, and Jamie Cox, and her husband Bill, of Glenmoor; along with a brother Bill O’Rourke, and his wife Lynn, of New Cumberland.

Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, including his nephew who cared for him Scott Shreve.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas O’Rourke, and two brothers-in-law, Conley “George” McCutcheon and John Marino.

Rev. Willard “Chuck” Adkins will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service.
