Obituary for Thomas L. Osborn

Tom Osborn, 78, of Stagecoach Road, East Liverpool, passed away on December 20, 2012 at 6:20 p.m. following a full and complete life.

Tom was born on September 26, 1934 in East Liverpool, and graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1952. Tom was the youngest son of the late Eugene V. and Ruby I. Knapp Osborn. He lived his entire life in East Liverpool except for the years from June 1968 to June 1980 when he lived in Florida and California.

Tom was a Barber for over 50 years and retired in April of 2003. He was an avid golfer and bowler in his early years. His love of high school wrestling spanned over 60 years and was reminiscent of his own wrestling success when he finished 4th in the state tournament in 1951 and 2nd in 1952. He was a better than average competitor when playing the games of poker and pool that he enjoyed all his life.

Surviving is his wife Linda K. Osborn, whom he married on December 28, 1970, a son Thomas Richard Osborn of Portland, OR, and a daughter Tracy Lynn and son in law James R. Moore, of Calcutta. There are three beautiful grandchildren, Jalynn, Randalynn and Bo Moore. A sister, Marion Osborn Freeman and a sister in law Ruthie Speerhas Osborn survive as well.

Besides his parents, a brother Richard Osborn, his mother in law Winifred Adams, a brother in law Gail Pete Freeman and a sister in law Joyce Burris Osborn preceded him in death.

Friends may visit Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
