Loving wife, mother and beloved grandmother, Rose Sarah Volino, of Yeager Drive, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at her home in Glenmoor following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 81.

Born in Georgetown, Pennsylvania, September 6, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Feola DeCapio. A lifelong area resident, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester.

Her husband of 59 years, Dominic A. Volino, survives at home. The couple married September 11, 1954.

There are two children, a daughter, Amy L. Brightwell, and her husband Douglas, of East Liverpool and a son, David Volino of East Liverpool. She also leaves her three grandchildren: Annette Volino, Clayton Brightwell and Colin Brightwell.

Other survivors include 2 sisters, Jo Carlier of Chester and Mary Gordon of Torrance, California, along with a brother, Frank DeCapio of Chester, as well as 19 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters Julia Volino, Lucy Enders and Marie Rockhold and 2 brothers, Tony DeCapio and Sunday DeCapio.

Friends may visit Monday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Fr. Eric Antwi will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Sacred Heart Center for fellowship and continued remembrance.
