Obituary for James Matthew Davis

James Matthew “JD” Davis passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Hospice House in Poland following a lengthy illness. He was 59.

Born in Pittsburgh, June 11, 1954, he was a son of the late Kenneth Davis, II and Phyllis Armani Davis. JD was a member of the South Range High School Class of 1973 and was a Vietnam era veteran with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a laborer and millwright with American Standard until 2011.

Survivors include his three sisters: Kathy Ream of Lake Tomahawk, Susan Fire, and her husband Danny, of Leetonia, and Laura McQuiston, and her husband Wayne, of Middleton, Ohio, along with two brothers: Kenneth “Butch” Davis, III, and his wife Rita, of New Castle, Pennsylvania and Michael Davis, and his wife Cindy, of Toronto, Ohio.

Arrangements are being conducted by the Dawson Funeral Home. There is to be no visitation or service.
