Obituary for Barbara Ann Yost (Yost)

Barbara Ann Yost, formerly of Sunnyside Avenue, East Liverpool, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Blossom Nursing Home in Salem following a lengthy illness. She was 82.

Born in East Liverpool, May 14, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Walter H. and Florence Payne Yost and was a lifetime area resident. A member of the Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, she was a 1950 graduate of the East Liverpool High School where she was a member of the cheerleading squad. She was also a charter member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association.

At one time, she was the Office Manager at the former Smith and Phillips Furniture Store. She later worked in the offices at Penn Power.

An infant son, David, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two cousins, JoAnn Bradfield of East Liverpool, and Debra Reeder Brokaw of Colorado.

Fr. Peter Haladej of Holy Trinity Parish conducted a private family memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family requests contributions made to either the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association or to Holy Trinity Parish.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Blossom Nursing & Rehab Center.
