Obituary for Gloria Ann Naughton (Naughton)

Longtime area resident Gloria A. Naughton passed away at the age of 92 at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born at home in East Palestine, OH on October 6, 1922, a daughter of the late John E. and Mary Orr Naughton.

A 1940 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Gloria had worked for Dr. Charles Gerace following graduation, and later was a dental assistant for Dr. Joseph Hoffrichter, where she remained for 30 years. Gloria had also been a bookkeeper in the accounting department at The Review until her retirement.

A longtime member of St. Aloysius Church, she was past president of Catholic Women’s Study Club.

Surviving her is a nephew, Mike Bloor, with whom she had resided prior to her illness.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death in 1983 by her sister, Janice Bloor.

The family wishes to thank the DCI Dialysis Clinic for their service and their kindness to Gloria.
