Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Sayre (Sayre)

LISBON, OHIO - Mary Elizabeth “Binker” Sayre, 46, of State Route 45 passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 6:36 p.m. at the Opportunity Homes in Lisbon, Ohio following a lengthy illness.

Born August 31, 1968 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of Patricia K. Burcham Cheuvront of Murfreesboro, TN and Thomas R. Sayre of Reston, VA.

A lifetime area resident, she worked at the Columbiana County Workshop in Lisbon. She was active in the Special Olympics for many years and won many awards. She also participated in the Special Olympics Bowling League and the Knights of Columbus Free Throw. She loved horses and enjoyed riding.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Melinda Cataldo Conrad of Murfreesboro, and one step-sister, Kelley Schon of Titusville, PA.

She also leaves behind her four nephews, Christian and Carson Cataldo of Murfreesboro, and Gunner and Isaak Schon of Titusville.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Rev. Joanne Dota will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Columbiana Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
