Obituary for Rosanne Lyle (Chornak)

EAST LIVERPOOL – Rosanne Lyle, 64, passed away at her home on Bradshaw Avenue in East Liverpool, following a lingering illness, at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015.

A daughter of Lois Kristen Chornak of Finleyville, PA and the late John Chornak, she was born in Monongahela, PA on February 4, 1951.

Rosanne earned a degree in Education from Youngstown State University, and later received her teaching certificate. She had been a substitute teacher in several area schools, and had also worked at the former Hills Department Store at one time.

A member of Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church, she also served on the Carnegie Public Library Board.

Her husband, James William Lyle, passed away on May 26, 2001. They had been married March 18, 1972.

Rosanne leaves behind her three sons, James R. Lyle and his wife, Courtney, of Shippenville, PA; William M. Lyle and his companion, Dana Katz, of Atlanta, GA; and Patrick J. Lyle and his companion, Jeralyn Baker of East Liverpool.

There are five grandchildren: Emery Lyle, Connor Lyle, Brody Lyle, Addison Lyle and Aubrey Lyle, as well as a brother, John Chornak, of Finleyville.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, where the family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m.

Services will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
