JOAN M. VOHAR, 75
CANTON – Joan M. Vohar, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away on Thursday morning, November 12, 2015 at the Canton Health Care Center where she resided for 16 years. A daughter of the late Michael and Mildred Beaver Vohar, Joan was born in East Liverpool on May 8, 1940. She was 75.
She was raised in the Boyce United Methodist Church in East Liverpool and had attended the Stark County Sheltered Workshop at one time. Recently, she was active at Sarah Care. She attended Canton Baptist Temple in Canton, Ohio.
Surviving her are her three sisters, Elaine Steinbach, and her husband Gary, of Massillon, Susan Adkins, and her husband Dave, of Belleview, Florida, and Jill Webster, and her husband Myron, of Norfolk, Virginia. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents Joan was preceded in death by a brother Michael G. Vohar and a nephew Michael C. Vohar.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, where the family will be present from 1 to 3 p.m. Pastor Jake Tovissi of the Canton Baptist Temple will conduct a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to: Sarah Care, 200 6th Street NW, Canton, Ohio 44702 or Canton Baptist Temple, 515 Whipple Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Canton Health Care Center for the excellent care they provided.
