SANDRA L. “SANDY” ADKINS, 62

EAST LIVERPOOL – Sandra L. “Sandy” Adkins, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home on Sharon Drive at 9 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016. An East Liverpool resident since the time she was a year old, she was 62.

Born in Logan, WV on June 18, 1953, she was a daughter of JoAnna Linville McComas of East Liverpool and the late Vermal McComas. She was a 1971 graduate of East Liverpool High School. A dedicated homemaker, she was most proud of her family, and loved caring for them.

She had been baptized by her husband’s first cousin, Rev. Tom Adkins of Campground Community Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived at home by her husband, Russell L. Adkins, whom she married March 3, 1972.

She also leaves behind a son, Aaron L. Adkins of Pittsburgh, as well as a granddaughter, Anistyn J. Adkins, with whom she resided.

Also surviving is a sister, Joyce Myers and her husband, Roger of East Liverpool; three brothers: Rodney McComas, also of East Liverpool; and Doug McComas and his wife, Toni; and Ron McComas and his wife, Robyn, all of Pennsylvania. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vermal “Butch” McComas. Sandy is also survived by her mother-in-law, Daisy Adkins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park at a later date. The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
