Obituary for Dave E Moore

Dave E. Moore, 73

East Liverpool – Dave E. Moore, of Cartwright Ave. in East Liverpool, passed away at his home with his family by his side at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, following a lengthy illness. He was 73 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on May 8, 1942, he was a son of the late David P. and Levada Robinson Moore.

Dave owned several businesses during his lifetime, including Moore’s Furniture across from Patterson Field in East Liverpool, and the Wellsville 12th Street Carryout. He had also been employed as a laborer out of Local 809 in Steubenville.

Dave was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sergeant E-5.

On November 27, 2011, he married his wife, the former Marianne Kindsvatter Humphreys, who survives him at home.

Dave is survived by his daughter Beth Mattingly, and her husband Troy, of English, Indiana, his two sons: Gary Moore, and his wife Julie, of Martinsburg, WV, and Patrick Moore of Wellsville, also surviving him are several grandchildren. Surviving also is a step-daughter, Lori Hissom of East Liverpool, and two step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary “Lib” Fusco and Margaret Moore.

Private family services will be held at the Dawson Funeral Home. Dave will be laid to rest at Spring Hill Cemetery where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will provide full military honors.
