Obituary for Kathaleen Lenora Lough (Shreves)

EAST LIVERPOOL – Kathaleen L. Lough, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday morning, May 15, 2016, at her home. She was 92.

Born in Sistersville, West Virginia, October 5, 1923, she was a daughter of the late James Arthur and Flossie Belle Rudder Shreves. She moved to this area after WWII, where she was a homemaker and member of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ. Kathaleen loved to fish, especially during her trips to Canada with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lough on July 14, 1995. The couple married March 19, 1946. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, JoAnn Billiter and Betty Louise Shreves, and five brothers, Herb, Bernard, Raymond, Homer and Arthur Shreves.

Two daughters survive, Mary Lou Hays of Rogers and Susan McCullough and her husband, Brad, of Lisbon, as well as a son, James T. Lough of New Waterford. There are 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Carolyn Davis and her husband, Robert, of Columbus and Mary Rea of Sistersville, along with two brothers, Roy Shreves and his wife, Helen, of Moundsville, West Virginia and Gene Shreves and his wife, Barb of Delavan, Wisconsin.

Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ fellowship hall for a luncheon.
