LOUISE ANN “LOU ANN” JOBE, 74

EAST LIVERPOOL – Longtime Hillcrest Road resident Louise Ann “Lou Ann” Jobe passed away at the age of 74 at 2:25 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at Calcutta Health Care Center, following a brief illness.

She was born in East Liverpool on October 18, 1941, a daughter of the late William Raymond Betteridge and Beulah Mae Bowers Betteridge. A 1959 graduate of Wellsville High School, she had spent her life in this area.

A loving mother, she most enjoyed the time she spent with her family – and was especially dedicated to caring for her grandchildren. Lou Ann was also a member of the former Older Americans Senior Group.

Preceding her in death on March 17, 2008 was her husband, Jack H. Jobe, Sr. They were married on March 7, 1959.

A daughter and two sons survive her: Lori A. Lane and her husband, John, of East Liverpool; Jack H. Jobe, Jr. of Nashville, TN; and Brian D. Jobe and his wife, Debbie, of Centerburg. There are six grandchildren: Philip Jobe, David Jobe, George Jobe, Jay Lane, Megan Lane and Madison Lane. She will also be missed by her feline companion, Oreo.

Lou Ann was preceded in death by a son, William Clifford Jobe, who passed away on May 27, 1964.

Pastor Dirk Hall of The Living Well in Wellsville will officiate at services to be held at the Dawson Funeral Home at 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Lou Ann will be laid to rest beside her husband at Yellow Creek Cemetery.
