MARGARET FREIDA MARY MARSHALL, 94

EAST LIVERPOOL – Margaret Freida Mary Auerbach Marshall, 94, of Bank Street, East Liverpool, died early Monday morning, July 4, 2016 at Calcutta Health Care Center.

Born April 6, 1922, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Phemning Auerbach, she was a lifetime resident of East Liverpool and was actually born and lived in the same house for all of her 94 years.

She worked at Bricker’s Isaly’s and various local potteries, but became a stay-at-home mother once her first child was born. Along with her sisters, she loved to bowl, play Bingo, and gather for family get-togethers.

Margaret was baptized at St. Aloysius Church on June 4, 1922, according to the Rite of the Roman Catholic Church.

Her husband, Harry P. Marshall, whom she married on January 23, 1946, preceded her in death on September 25, 2009.

Surviving is a daughter, Janet M. Cunningham and her husband, Glenn, of Manvel, TX, along with two sons, Wayne A. Marshall and his wife, Teri, of Wellsville, and Harry L. Marshall of East Liverpool.

There are six grandchildren: Jennifer J. DeBates and her husband, Bryan; Lee A. Marshall and his wife, Chandra; Erin Weber and her husband, Josh; Megan Cunningham; Bethany Laws and her husband, Dave; and Lianna Marshall. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren: Teagan DeBates, Grant Marshall, Sydney and Reagan Weber, and Cooper Laws, as well as a sister, Eva Smith, of East Liverpool.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Tony Auerbach, and five sisters, Kate Prodonovich, Ann Watkin, Betty Wurzel, Mary Russell, and Dorothy Quiring.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Rev. Willard Chuck Adkins of the First Church of Christ, Disciples, will officiate at services to be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the cemetery, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a continued time of fellowship.
