Dorothy Mae Sayers Miller, 92

SEBRING – Dorothy Mae Sayers Miller, 92, formerly of East Liverpool and Wellsville, passed away peacefully at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Copeland Oaks/Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.

Born in East Liverpool on February 5, 1924, Dorothy Mae was the only child of the late Raymond and Mae Bryarly Sayers.

A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1941, she had worked as an operator at Ohio Bell for 15 years.

Dorothy Mae proudly became Mrs. Leland Miller on May 2, 1951. Leland passed away in 1992.

She is survived by special friends David Stacey and his wife Brenda, and their daughters Sutton and Terran of East Liverpool. Dorothy also has several second cousins who survive as well as a sister-in-law, Karen Miller Johnson of Monroe, North Carolina.

An active and lifelong member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, she had been a member of the St. Margaret Guild at one time.

Dorothy Mae was proud of her country and felt chills every time she saw the American flag.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday, where there will be visitation from 9 to 11 a.m.

Rev. Steven McKeown of the St. Paul Episcopal Church in Steubenville, will officiate at services to be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the cemetery, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a continued time of fellowship.
