Obituary for Pamela Yvette Hoppel (Howell)

EAST LIVERPOOL – Pamela Y. Hoppel, lifelong East Liverpool resident, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at her home after suddenly taking ill two weeks ago.

Born in East Liverpool, March 25, 1946, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Mary E. Howell. She was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1964 and later attended Geneva College. For many years, she was the CEO of the East Liverpool Chamber of Commerce where she was active in every facet of the organization. She was also an avid dog lover and owned and operated Pennova Kennels.

Well-known to many in East Liverpool, Pam was active in many local organizations, especially during her tenure with the Chamber, but she especially enjoyed her membership in the East Liverpool Rotary Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Hoppel, on August 23, 1986.

She will live on through her daughter, Tina Rigby and her husband, Jim, of Wellsville, as well as her grandson, Nathan Rigby, whom she was very proud.

She also leaves a sister, Linda S. Howell of Florida.

Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in care of Dialysis Clinic, Inc., a non-profit corporation, 325 West 6th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.
