David E. Taylor, Sr.,

EAST LIVERPOOL – David E. Taylor, Sr., of Ambrose Avenue in East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday morning August 10, 2016, at his home. He was 65.

Born in Chattanooga, TN, on September 19, 1950, he was a son of the late George E. and Ruth Moore Taylor, Sr.

Serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War, David had worked at the former Crucible Steel Co., as well as the Hall China Co. at one time.

David was a member of the Second Baptist Church where he had been an usher and a trustee.

Surviving are his daughter, Shawna Brooks, and her husband Adam, of East Liverpool, his son, David E. “Butch” Taylor, Jr., of East Liverpool, and three grandchildren, Zoe Brooks, Adam Brooks, Jr., and Dontay Taylor. David is also survived by his sister, Edith Ann Cunningham, of Hillsboro, Ohio, and three brothers, James “Mickey” Taylor, and his wife Sylvia, of Sarasota, Florida, George E. Taylor, Jr. of Indianapolis, and Michael Taylor, also of Indianapolis.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Pack Taylor, September 20, 1998. As well as a sister, Carol Jean Duhart.

Rev. Ernest Peachey of the church will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.

Burial will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Pittsburgh.
