KATHARINE ECHOLS, 82

EAST LIVERPOOL – Katharine Echols, 82, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2016. Mrs. Echols resided on Sprucevale Road, Calcutta, and passed away at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born in Wellsville on May 24, 1934, a daughter of the late James and Alice Collins Freeman. As a young woman, she had worked as a potter, but upon her marriage to Howard E. Echols, she became a devoted homemaker and mother to their children.

Howard preceded her in death on November 19, 2014.

Katharine was a faithful member of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.

Surviving her are four daughters and one son: Twila Dalrymple and her husband, David, of East Liverpool; Veronica Webber and her husband, Danny, of Louisville, OH; Darlene Echols of East Liverpool; Gloria Worrell and her husband, Patrick, also of East Liverpool; and Robert Echols of Salem. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Ashlee, Brittany, Caitlyn, Ciana and Nicholas, as well as two great-grandchildren, Chevella and Scarlett.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

The family will receive friends at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Benjamin Crouch of East Liverpool Church of God and Pastor Mike Ingole of River Christian Fellowship officiating.

Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
