JUNE A. CLARK, 78

EAST LIVERPOOL – June Clark, 78, of Summit Drive, passed away following a lingering illness at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loving family.

Born in East Liverpool on December 11, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah A. James Lutton. June grew up in the Irondale area and was a 1956 graduate of the former Irondale High School. She received her nursing degree from Ohio Valley School of Nursing and had been a registered nurse in the pediatric unit at East Liverpool City Hospital.

On December 15, 1958, she married Gene R. Clark, and they made their home in Irondale. Upon his untimely death on September 9, 1977, June retired from nursing and went to work for Edison Local Schools. She relocated to the East Liverpool area in 1989.

A Nazarene by faith, she loved cooking and caring for her family. She also enjoyed reading – especially Amish love stories – and doing word search puzzles.

She is survived by a daughter, Gina Clark, with whom she resided, as well as a son, Kevin Clark and his wife, Janet, of Marysville, OH. There are three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, as well as a brother, John Lutton and his wife, Pam, of Louisville, OH, and a nephew, Jonathan.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center following the service for lunch and a continued time of remembrance of June’s life. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Morning View Cemetery in Irondale.
