Obituary for Sarah R Prince (Delong)

Sarah Roberta Prince, of Columbiana, formerly of Calcutta, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center. She was 86.

Born in Louisa, Kentucky, December 30, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Shirley Priece DeLong. A homemaker, she was a member of the Church of God in East Liverpool and was active in a quilting club at one time. She loved reading her Bible, sewing as well as cooking, especially at family get-togethers.

Her husband, Kenneth Mason Prince, passed away May 15, 2008. The couple married July 14, 1962. She was also preceded in death by a brother Forest DeLong.

She will be fondly remembered by her two daughters, Margie Kathleen Collins of Columbiana, and Robin Prince and her husband, Ronald Foy, of Columbiana. There are two grandchildren, Marissa Rae Collins and Marcus Allen Collins and his wife, Samantha; along with two great-grandchildren, Carson and Cambree Collins. There are two step-grandchildren.

In addition, she is survived by a brother, Joseph “Jack” DeLong of Kentucky.

Rev. Joanne Dota conducted a private family funeral service Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home.

Burial was at Calcutta Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank both Parkside Health Care Center and Hospice of the Valley for the wonderful care and service they provided.
