Obituary for Richard Johnm Lamp

East Liverpool native Richard John “Rich” Lamp passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the age of 68 after becoming suddenly ill while driving his truck in Bakersfield, California. “Rich”, as he was mostly known, had lived in Olney Springs, Colorado for about 15 years, but drove for Navajo Trucking across the western states. He was 68.

A son of the late Bertha Clark and Richard Bernard Lamp, he was born in East Liverpool on June 18, 1948.

He was a 1967 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

Rich is survived by his three sisters: Sharon Harrah and her husband, Robert, of Carrollton; Sheila Blatchford and her husband, Dick, of East Liverpool; and Michelle Pancake and her husband, Marvin, of Boardman, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Rich also leaves behind his companion, Lisa Morrow, of Olney Springs.

He was preceded in death in 2013 by his wife, Lorraine.

Burial will take place at a later date.

The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with Richard’s care.
