Obituary for Ronald Allen Wells

Devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend Ronald Allen Wells, passed away Hospice House in Poland following a brief but aggressive battle with cancer. Ron, as he was well known, resided on Globe Street in East Liverpool and died at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016.

He was born on March 7, 1958 in East Liverpool, a son of the late Doris Hague and Charles Bernard Wells. Ron lived in this area his entire life, and had attended East Liverpool High School.

On January 7, 1977, he married the former Marianne Quinn, who was the love of his life for 40 years, and they became the very proud parents of three children. Marianne survives him at home.

Ron had been associated with MacIntosh Hemphill for several years, and had also worked at WHEMCO in Midland, and Compass Trucking at one time. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #122 in East Liverpool. Above all, he and Marianne just loved being together with their family, and following all the activities of their grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Ron leaves behind two daughters and one son: Nicole Adkins of Calcutta; Melissa Wells and her fiancé, Donald Geon II, of East Liverpool; and Robert Lee Wells and his wife, Rose, also of East Liverpool. His beloved grandchildren also survive: Katelyn Moore, Nicholas Moore, Daniel Wells, Leanne Wells, Jeremy “JT” Kapp and Emily Kapp. A sister, Carolyn Mackey and her husband, Don, of East Liverpool, survive as well.

Ron’s three “fur friends”, Spice, Sugar and Ralphie, will miss their companion, as well as two neighbor “buddies”, Alex and Jacob, who were very special to him.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m.
