Obituary for Robert L. Kinest

GLENMOOR – Robert L. Kinest, of Glenmoor, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. He was 67.

Born in Cameron, West Virginia, July 26, 1949, he was a son of the late John H. and Daisy Mae Spurrier Kinest. A Vietnam veteran, he served with the U.S. Navy. Bob worked as a glaze maker at Homer Laughlin China Company until retiring after 31 years of service.

An avid bowler, he was active in leagues at Tri-State Lanes. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a volunteer with the little league football organization at one time.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia M. Kinest, at home. The couple married June 28, 1975. Also left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Amanda Estell and her husband, Matt, and a son, Robert J. Kinest, all of Glenmoor. There are three grandchildren: Greyson, Hunter and Cameron Estell.

A brother survives as well, James Kinest and his wife, Kathy, of Steubenville.

Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Robert “Mike” Dyer will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors.
