David Eugene "Dave" Curran, 67, passed away at his home on Bantam Ridge Road in Wintersville at 9:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2017. He was surrounded at the time of his death by his devoted family who had cared for him throughout his ten-year illness.

A son of the late Patrick and Grace E. Weddle Curran McHenry, he was born in East Liverpool on December 11, 1949.

He had been associated with Marsh Bellofram until he became disabled due to his illness. Dave had been an avid outdoorsman who loved football, camping, skiing, woodworking, landscaping, dirt bikes and motorcycles. He also had an appreciation for music, and was an accomplished guitarist who also enjoyed playing the piano. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his wife, Deb, and their family.

Deb survives him at home. They had been married since April 4, 1992.

Dave also leaves behind his children: Lisa Potts and her husband, Tim, of East Liverpool; Lori Owens and her husband, Donald, of Newell; Brian Curran of East Liverpool; and David Curran and his wife, Amy, also of East Liverpool, along with a step-son, Jason Ruiz, at home. There are 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Betty Blystone and her husband, Bill, of East Liverpool; Judy Sellers and her husband, Joe, of Panama City, FL; and Georgie Bailey and her husband, Bo, of East Liverpool. A brother, Pat Curran and his wife, Tammy, also survive in Salem, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a sister, Mia Blystone, and a brother, Mick Curran.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
