Obituary for Phillip Evan Johler

EAST LIVERPOOL – Phillip Evan Johler, of 9th Avenue, LaCroft, went to be with the Lord in peace Saturday, April 1, 2017. He was 20.

Born in Morristown, Vermont, October 1, 1996, he was a son of Rex A. and Susan Filppula Johler of East Liverpool. He was a graduate of the Trecca Online Academy.

He loved his three dogs: Gingersnap, Twix and Gracie and was known by his family and friends as a kind and forgiving person who was willing to help at any time. He enjoyed writing song lyrics. Above all things in life, he loved his family and close friends and was especially looking forward to being an uncle for the fourth time and would soon be the best man in his sister Cynthia’s wedding.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Julie Rockey and her husband, Brian, of Wheeling and Cynthia Johler and her fiancé, Mikey Rollins, of Wellsville, and three nephews: Samuel, Miles and Maddox Rockey. He is also survived by two special friends Krista and Thomas Powell.

Pastor Lisa Smith of Grace City Church will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. noon at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present two-hours prior to the service. Friends may also visit at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Grace City Church for fellowship.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions payable to Grace City Church, in care of the Phillip Evan Johler Memorial Fund, 225 West 5th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.
