Esther M. Litton, 82

EAST LIVERPOOL – Esther M. Litton, of East Liverpool, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a brief illness. She was 82.

Born in East Liverpool, September 3, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Rolland and Margaret “Peg” Reed. A 1952 graduate of Wellsville High School, she was employed for seven years in the office of the former Sterling China Company.

She then left the workforce to become a full time mother before accepting a teller position with the Central Federal Savings & Loan in Wellsville where she advanced to secretary-receptionist from which she retired in 2003 with 29 ½ years of service. She was a longtime member of the Wellsville Central United Methodist Church, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and greatly enjoyed reading and computing.

She is survived by four sons: Steven Litton, James Litton and his wife Deborah, and Scott Litton, all of East Liverpool, and Todd Litton and his wife, Tanis, of Wichita, Kansas, as well as five grandchildren: Steven Litton, Daniel Litton and his wife, Candace, Jennifer Litton, Tate Williams and Angela Radeschi, and one great-grandchild, Samantha Litton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, James L. Litton, and her brother, John Reed.

Private family services will be conducted at Columbiana County Memorial Park. The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
