Obituary for Frederick Wayne Rose




Lisbon, Ohio- Frederick Wayne Rose, 70, of Stookesberry Road passed away Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 at 10:52 p.m. at the Salem Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Born December 12, 1946 at East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Harry and Martha Rose. A veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany, he was Episcopalian by faith. A graduate of East Liverpool High School in 1964, he retired after working as a welder for the General Motors Company for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sheilah Ann Rose, whom he married March 12, 1966, at home. There is one daughter, Shannon Rose Smith of Columbus, Ohio; and one son, Frederick “Scott” Rose and his wife, Terry of Lisbon, Ohio.

In addition, he leaves behind two grandchildren, Frederick James Rose and Cody Austin Rose; as well as two sisters, Peggy Marbias and her husband, James of Newark, Ohio and Jane Spratley and her husband, Robert of Westerville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Gloria Crandall of Medina, Ohio, and a brother-in-law, John Balser and his wife, Melanie of East Liverpool, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Harry J. Rose and a son-in-law, Brian D. Smith.

Private family services were held.

The Dawson Funeral Home of East Liverpool handled all local funeral arrangements.
