Mrs. Louise Johnson Linkous, 87

EAST LIVERPOOL –Louise Johnson Linkous, of East Liverpool, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Orchards of East Liverpool following a lengthy illness. She was 87.

Born in Grantsville, West Virginia, June 16, 1929, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Virdie Bayless Johnson. A waitress, she worked at the former Dairyland and Plaza Restaurants. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paris L. Linkous. Also preceding her in death were: a grandson Eric R. Smith, a great-grandson Derik R. Smith, two sisters, Gladys Johnson Digman and Mildred Marie Johnson Miracle, and five brothers, Thurl Edward Johnson, Kenneth “Buster” Johnson, Elwood Harley Johnson, Cecil Earl Johnson and Burl Andrew Johnson.

She is survived by a daughter, Marie Vincent and her husband, Kenny, of East Liverpool, and two sons, Ralph Smith and his wife, Penny, of Coshocton, Ohio and Denny Smith and his wife, Pam, of Hammondsville.

In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren: Wendy Smith Schumaker, Jason Smith, JoAnne Smith Snyder,Tonya Galeoti Hall, Angela Galeoti Paterra and Jenna Galeoti Smarrella, as well as 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. One sister survives, Daisey Adkins of East Liverpool.

Dr. Robert Sylvies of the church will conduct a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. up until the time of the service.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the First Church of the Nazarene for fellowship.
