Sue Walton Obituary

EAST LIVERPOOL – Darla Sue Walton, 75, of West 6th Street, East Liverpool, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Calcutta Health Care Center at 11:40 a.m. following a brief illness.

Born July 17, 1942 at East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Jean Copenhaver. A lifetime area resident, she worked for K-Mart in Calcutta from the day the store opened until she retired 29 years later.

Survivors include a daughter, Traci Reese and her husband, Joseph of Calcutta; and a son, Mark Walton and his wife, Deborah, of East Liverpool.

There are two grandchildren, Allison Reese of Calcutta, and Ashley Walton of East Liverpool; and three great-grandchildren, Madyson McCready, Brooklyn McCready and Austin Holmes. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Shawn Walton on December 11, 2003.

In addition, she leaves behind two sisters, Marilyn Hoffman of East Liverpool and Jeannie Capel and her husband, Jerry of Salem, Ohio; and one brother, Rick Copenhaver and his wife, Colleen of Salem.

Private services were held at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
