Obituary for Keith D Doughty

Keith D. Doughty, 90

Mishawaka, Indiana - Keith D. Doughty, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, September 29th, 2017 at Tanglewood Trace Nursing Home, in Mishawaka, Indiana where he had been residing. He was 90.

Born in Industry, Pennsylvania, September 27, 1927, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna Johnson Doughty. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army as a quartermaster in Germany. He attended Trinity Parish Presbyterian Church in Chester. He retired from International Mill Service and was a member of United Steel Workers Local #1212 in Midland.

Keith was an avid horseshoe pitcher and loved following his grandchildren’s sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda R. Wise Doughty, on December 11, 2000. The couple married April 14, 1956.

Survivors include his children: a daughter, Kimberly Franczek and her husband, Joseph, of Mishawaka, Indiana, and a son, Kenneth Doughty and his wife, Debra, of Industry, as well as a sister, Faye Hoskinson of Industry.

He is also survived by four grandsons: Shane Doughty, Sam Franczek and his wife, Taylor, Aaron Franczek and Eric Doughty.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death three sisters: Bertha Taylor, Grace Hoskinson and Thelma Crabtree, and three brothers, Louis F. Doughty, Curtis Doughty and James Doughty, as well as a grandson, Justin Doughty.

Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening October 3rd, 2017 at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Dr. Matthew Camlin will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.
