Obituary for Andy R. Adkins

Andrew R. “Andy” Adkins, 51

EAST LIVERPOOL – Andrew R. “Andy” Adkins, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Calcutta Health Care Center. He was 51.

Born in East Liverpool, February 3, 1966, he was a son of Lonnie and Meredith “Putsy” Tatgenhorst Adkins. A resident of this area all his life, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1984. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a military policeman. He later worked in the construction painting business alongside his father. He also was a salesman for Rental King.

Andy enjoyed playing his guitar and golf and loved to cheer on the Steelers and Penguins.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Marissa Meredith Adkins of Wilmington, North Carolina, a brother Lonnie Alden Adkins II of East Liverpool and two sisters, Londa Walker and her husband, Troy, of East Liverpool, and Hope Edgell and her husband, Brian, of Ashland, Ohio. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

Pastor Donny Lytle of Hope Christian Fellowship Wellsville will conduct a funeral service Friday at 5:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 2 to 5 p.m. prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
