A. BERNADINE MORRIS, 92

EAST LIVERPOOL – A. Bernadine Morris, 92, passed away at the Calcutta Health Care Center at 3:12 a.m. on Tuesday December 5, 2017 following a lengthy illness.

Born at home in Newell, West Virginia on September 12, 1925, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Estella Fetty Richardson. She had made her home on 10th Street Extension in Wellsville since 1967.

She was retired from Hall China Company, where she worked as a gold liner for 21 years.

A member of the First Christian Church in Wellsville, Bernadine belonged to the Christian Women’s Fellowship there, and was involved in the Ethel Chambers Missionary Group. Bernadine was an avid camper and member of the National Campers & Hikers Association as well as the Buckeye Rovers and the Woodpeckers Camping group. Bernadine along with her husband enjoyed their time together traveling the country.

Her husband, James F. Morris, preceded her in death on December 24, 1995. They were married on September 7, 1943 and shared a wonderful 52 years together.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas James Morris of Apple Valley, CA, and Gary F. Morris and his wife, Karen, of East Liverpool, along with three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One grandchild preceded her in death as did three great-grandchildren.

One sister survives her, Bonnie Pruden of Henderson, Nevada. Bernadine was preceded in death by four sisters, Wilma Currin, Dorothy Cunningham, Pauline Meeks and Leona Claypool, as well as a brother, Lester Richardson.

Friends may visit with the family at the Dawson Funeral Home from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alan Boone will officiate at services to be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Bernadine will be laid to rest beside her husband at Locust Hill Cemetery.
