Obituary for Grace P. Bulger (Dickey)

GRACE P. HOOD BULGER, 94

CALCUTTA – Grace P. Hood Bulger passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at 5:37 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017. She had spent most of her lifetime in East Liverpool, and died at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

A daughter of the late Charles and Cecil Lake Dickey, Grace was born in Georgetown, Pennsylvania on August 18, 1923. She was a member of the Salvation Army and had worked at Crooks Furniture for over 30 years in housekeeping.

Grace was preceded by her first husband Herbert Hood in 1974, and also by her second husband Paul Bulger in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Hay, and a granddaughter, Barbara Hay.

Surviving Grace are two grandchildren, Donna Ansbach, and her husband Dan, and Donald Hay, both of Wellsville, two great-grandsons, Jacob Ansbach, and his wife Mollie, and Douglas Ansbach (Misty), as well as two great-great-granddaughters, Paisley and Kinsley Ansbach, and her son-in-law Don Hay and his wife Janet.

Also preceding her in death were a sister, Hazel Dickey, and two brothers, Carl and Lawrence Dickey.

Evangelist Will Montgomery of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a memorial service on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Grace will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.
