Obituary for Mike White

Michael Raymond White, 68

LISBON, OHIO – Michael R. White, of State Route 7, passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 3, 2018 while on vacation with his family in Florida. He was 68.

Born in East Liverpool, January 6, 1949, he was the son of the late William and Doris F. Brookes White. A resident of this area all his life, he was a member of the Beaver Local High School Class of 1967. He was the owner and operator of Michael White Construction Company in Lisbon and put his craftsmanship to work on many projects in this area and elsewhere. He was also a union bricklayer for over 50 years.

Mike loved classic cars. He was a collector and restorer of many cars through the years and would take on any project as long as it was made by Chevrolet. He also owned and operated Lisbon Chevelle and Bowtie Parts near his home on Route 7.

Above all things in life, Mike was a family man and loved being “Pap” to his grandchildren.

His wife, Diana “Sis” Roberts White, survives at home. The couple married November 21, 1970. There are two children: a daughter Jamie White Thomas and her husband, Justin, of Lisbon, and a son Michael White and his companion, Amy Tuite, of Lisbon. Also left to cherish his memory are two grandchildren, Jackson and Jenna Thomas.

In addition, he is survived by a sister, Geraldine White DuMoulin and her companion, Earl Creamer, of Lisbon as well as a sister-in-law, Rose White of East Liverpool and brother-in-law Larry Roberts and his wife, Sue, of Salem.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julia Brooks Thomas and two brothers, Merle B. White and William E. White.
