The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Evelyn Zubick can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Jill Shanks Eliot

Today was my first day downstairs from being really sick and my daughter, Ann, greeted me with news of darling, sweet Aunt Evelyn's death. I thought she would live forever. Aunt Evelyn was the spunkiest, happiest woman I have ever known. I saw her almost every Sunday, during my childhood through adulthood. Many Sundays we became engrossed in Jimmy's trains. Jack (my brother) and Jimmy were fast friends and great cousins. Aunt Evelyn was one of the wittiest and funny ladies ever. She had humorous comments on everything. She was the stand-up comedian at my dad, Austin's, 75th birthday. That day will live in Shanks' history. Aunt Evelyn was descended from John Pringle, who was the first settler in West Vrginia. He and his brother Sam escaped from the British. The Pringle Tree is visible in Buckhanon, WVa. Love is Eternal.
