Condolence: Dear Elsa Ann and family,Was thinking about your dad and just saw on line of his passing. Very sorry to hear about this. He was lucky to have lived to such a ripe old age! I spoke to him, it seems like, about 2 years ago amd he sounded just as sharp and spry as he always did. I knew your family since I can remember remembering! At least 72 years ago!My mother and your mother were room mates at Ohio State I believe and were good friends all of their lives. I also remember seeing you when you lived in Rochester. My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family at this sad time. May your wonderful memories of him sustain you in the years ahead. Best wishes, Ellen

Condolence: We are sorry for your loss. Your father and mother made us feel very welcome when we moved to East Liverpool. Our fondest memory of your father was his love for anything connected with the railroad. He gave our daughter Jaclyn a small toy train and engineer's hat as a welcoming gift. We thought very highly of both your parents and are grateful to have known them.

Condolence: We lived down the street from Dr. Rubin for many years on 4th Street in ELO. What a wonderful man. I remember he took my two boys, Anthony and Clayton, to see his trains. They loved it and still remember it today! One of Mrs. Rubin's paintings hangs in my home today.
We are very sorry for your loss, Lisa and Paul Wise

Condolence: My sincere condolences to those mourning the passing of Herschel Rubin.

I knew him 60 years ago. He was a genuinely nice person -- and to the teenager I was then, a cool guy! I suspect he remained both nice and cool his whole life.

Elsa, you are so fortunate to have had a wonderful parent for so many years. Rejoice in one of life's best gifts: a great dad.

Peter
