William J. “Bill” Lee, Jr., 91

PARMA, OHIO – William J. “Bill” Lee, Jr., of Seven Hills, Ohio, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was 91.

Born in East Liverpool, January 30, 1927, he was a son of the late William J. and Lettice O. Barnhart Lee. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in the Pacific, China, Burma and India. For over 42 years, Bill worked as a welder and was promoted to a quality control engineer for the TRW Company in the Cleveland area. He later worked as a consultant for Argo-Tech.

A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1944, he had been an active member and supporter of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association. While living in East Liverpool, Bill loved to follow the Potters sports teams and was a member of the Blue and White Touchdown Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jean M. McIntosh Lee, whom he married June 14, 1948. Also left to cherish his memory is a son, William J. “Bill” Lee III of Twinsburg, Ohio.

Also surviving is his sister, Ruth Ann Rush and her husband, Bill, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and a brother Richard C. Lee and his wife, Sue, of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Friends may visit Wednesday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Tom Schneidmiller will conduct a funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
