FLOYD KENNETH “KENNY” PRINCE, 82

EAST LIVERPOOL – Floyd Kenneth “Kenny” Prince, of Sprucevale Road in East Liverpool, passed away Saturday May 5, 2018 in the East Liverpool City Hospital at 7:30 p.m. following a brief illness. He was 82.

Born in East Liverpool, June 11, 1935, he was the son of the late Floyd Carter and Mildred McComas Prince. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1953, he had also attended Ohio University. Kenny was a U.S. Army veteran. A resident of this area most of his life, he worked as an agent for the Allstate Insurance Company for over 30 years.

Kenny was also a member of the Riddle Lodge No. 315, Free & Accepted Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Watkins Prince, whom he married on May 4, 1956, and a daughter, Kathy Wilson, and her husband Gregg, of Auburndale, Florida. There are five grandchildren, David Dorow, Amy Dorow, Sara Wilson, Rachel Wilson, and Abigail Woodworth and her husband James, as well as two great-grandchildren, Micah Wilson and Hailey Woodworth. He is also survived by a brother Robert Prince. Kenny also leaves behind his canine companion Heidi Soo.

Kenny was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ann Bower on March 8, 2017.

Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Tom Schneidmiller will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
