Edward Mac Prentice, Jr., 73

CLEVELAND – Edward Mac Prentice, Jr., 73, of Cleveland Heights, passed away Tuesday morning, June 12, 2018 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Born in East Liverpool, March 23, 1945, he was a son of the late Edward Mac Prentice Sr. and Savannah Moses Ray. Ed was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1963.

Ed worked for Chrysler as a shipping clerk in Detroit, Michigan before retiring.

Surviving are his three daughters, Chelsie Banks, and her husband Corie of Cleveland, Nicole Banks, and her husband Craig of Las Vegas, and Ebony Thames of Detroit. There are three sons, Chris Prentice of Cleveland, Eric Brown of Detroit and Nickolas Prentice of Detroit. Ed has nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He also is survived by his two sisters, Adella Sloan, and her husband Don, and Savannah Howard, all of Fort Worth, Texas, and one brother, Thomas Prentice of East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents Ed was preceded by a sister Mollie Stone.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gary Merritt and Kamaar Stone for all the joyful moments.

Friends may visit Saturday June 23rd at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 1 to 3 p.m. A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday June 23rd at the funeral home. Following the service family and friends will gather at the home of his brother Tom for a time of fellowship.

Burial will be at Calcutta Cemetery.
