Obituary for Robert "Bob" Woomer

Robert “Bob” Woomer, 71

East Liverpool, Ohio - Robert “Bob” Woomer, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Monday, June 18th, 2018 at his home. He was 71.

Born in East Liverpool, son of Arlie and Carolyn Ludwig Woomer, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1965. He continued his education and earned his degree from Kent State University. A member of First Church of Christ (Disciples), he worked at Ferro Corporation as a supervisor. He later worked for the City of East Liverpool as the Parking Enforcement Officer. Bob also worked at Bob and Robin’s Flowers.

A familiar face at area sporting events for many years, Bob often worked games as an official for baseball, football and volleyball. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge 122.

Survivors include his sister, Sue Hammer and her husband, Dieter, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, as well as a niece and nephew, Alan Hammer and his wife, Barbara, and Trudy Kuehn and her husband, Jeff, and a great niece and nephew, Katie and James Kuehn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Woomer. The couple married June 7, 1990.

Friends may visit Friday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Willard “Chuck” Adkins will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in care of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association, 216 East 4th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio.
