Obituary for Lula "Pug" Rigdon

East Liverpool, Ohio- Lula Lee “Pug” Rigdon, 92, of Ray Street passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at her residence following a brief illness.

Born July 13, 1926 at Dublin, Virginia she was a daughter of the late Lee and Maude Burnett Midkiff. She moved to this area in 1950 working at the Homer Laughlin China Company in Newell, West Virginia as a decorator for 30 years until her retirement.

A member of the former Trinity Presbyterian Church, she served on virtually every different church board and was a co-founder of the Children’s Jubilee. She volunteered at FISH, was a past president of the Potter Football Mothers, as well as a past president of her pottery union local, and she loved to travel.

Preceded by her husband, Ray Cody Rigdon, She is survived by one daughter, Lori Doran and her husband, Richard of Hookstown, Pennsylvania; and one son, Gary Rigdon and his wife, Diane of Beaver, Pennsylvania.

There are 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda S. Glover; two sons, Tommy Ray Rigdon and Danny Lee Rigdon; one sister, Marie Booth; and one brother, Jessie James Midkiff.

Friends may visit the family Friday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. H. Gene Toot will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
