Obituary for Susan Marie Stewart (Allison)

Susan Marie Stewart, of Pope Street in East Liverpool, passed away following a brief illness at the age of 64 on Monday morning, July 21, 2014 at her residence.

Sue was born October 30, 1949 in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Marie Coy Allison. A 1967 graduate of East Liverpool High School, Sue also accompanied her husband Jim to many state and national Elks events.

Susan retired in April of this year from Marsh Bellofram in the ACT Division. She had previously worked at Winky’s Drive In, Hall China, Homer Laughlin China and East Liverpool City Hospital as a nurse’s aide.

Surviving is her husband, James P. Stewart, Sr., whom she married, August 3 1974, her son, James P. Stewart, Jr., and his wife Lorrie, of East Liverpool, as well as her two granddaughters, Courtney and Lindsey Stewart. There is also a step-brother, Jessie T. Allison, of East Liverpool.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley A. Allison, on September 18, 2001.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will officiate at a service at the funeral home Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends will then gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
