CHARLES R. THOMAS III, 63
EAST LIVERPOOL – Charles R. “Charlie” Thomas III, born September 29, 1954 in East Liverpool to the late Charles R. Thomas, Jr. and Madelin Bechtle Thomas, passed away the evening of February 28, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.
Charlie, who grew up on Vine Street and most recently lived in Chester at the Stone Pear Pavilion, graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1973 and was a member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church and had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout while in the church’s Boy Scout Troop.
Charlie worked for a time as security for the church and its members, whom he considered to be his extended family and he was well loved by all who knew him.
Friends may visit with at the Dawson Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pastor Larry Hukill of First United Methodist Church will officiate at a service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. Charlie will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.
