Obituary for Eula V. Hale (Rogers)

Eula V. Hale, 91

EAST LIVERPOOL – Eula V. Hale, of Summit Drive, Calcutta, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 28, 2018, at the Pepperberry Suites. She was 91.

Born in Wellsville, July 23, 1927, a daughter of the late William and Mabel Gladys Shaw Rogers, she was a homemaker, devoted wife, and proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved to make afghans – making sure every family member had one as well as many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years James L. Hale on December 2, 2015. The couple married October 12, 1946. Together, they raised eight children: James W. Hale and his wife, Rebecca, of East Liverpool, Jean Grafton of East Liverpool, Barb Long and her husband, Jim, of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, Candy Travis and her husband, Paul, of Glenmoor, John Hale and his companion, Barb Litton, of East Liverpool, Jeff Hale and his wife, Michelle, of Joppa, Maryland, Steve Hale and his wife, Jill, of Powell, Ohio, and Don Hale and his wife, Amy, of Folsom, California.

There are 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Harris and Hazel Gasaway.

Friends may visit Wednesday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
