Mary C. Skinner, 73

EAST LIVERPOOL – Mary C. Skinner of Imperial Drive in East Liverpool passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family while under hospice care following a brief illness. She was 73.

Born in East Liverpool, October 13, 1944, she was a daughter of the late William and Helen Garey Todd.

A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1962, she continued her education and earned her certification in Cosmetology.

Mary taught Head Start in her home, and at one time was a STNA in area nursing homes. Mary also had attended the First Church of Christ (Disciples) as a child.

Survivors include her husband Junior R. Skinner, whom she married October 11, 1996, three daughters, Julie Rowe, and her husband Philip, of East Liverpool, Jill Ramsey, of East Liverpool, and Elaine Kloss, and her husband Kevin, of Columbiana, as well as her three sons, Troy Roush, and his wife Jennifer, of Ankeny, Iowa, Harry “Butch” Ramsey, and his wife Angie, of Arlington, Virginia, and William “Bill” Ramsey, and his wife Jennifer, of East Liverpool.

There are 12 grandchildren, Janel Krafft, Rob Rowe, Cathy Rowe, Laura Rowe, Gabby & Gracie Roush, Makenna Hardin, Jocelyn Ridgway, Mary Kloss, Danny Kloss, Cati Ramsey and Nesi Ramsey; and one great-granddaughter, Sadie D’Alesio.

Mary is also survived by a sister, Judy Allen, and her husband Thurman, of Dayton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Haines Ramsey, a sister, Betty Lou Fox, and six brothers, William, Michael, Robert, David, George and Larry Todd.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday August 2nd where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Philip Rowe, Mary’s son-in-law, will conduct a funeral service at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
